There is a new Bar B Q place located in Fern Creek named Firehouse Bar B Q. My wife and I discovered it by accident. Our orginal plan was to eat at Uno’s but the wait was 45 minutes. So we decided to venture over to Hurstbourne Ln area. As we were leaving the parking lot we noticed some people standing out side.

We noticed some people coming out with to go boxes and looked to find out it was Firehouse Bar B Q. Anyhow, we went in and it smelled wonderful. Lots of people watching the Big Screen and eating. I got the Pork Plate and my wife got the Firehouse Sampler. Needless to say… I went back and got a half rack of ribs.

I have to say, nothing against the other places in town, but this might just be the best around. I talked with the gentelman that was behind the counter, I think he was the owner, not sure of his name but he was very polite and humorous. He said they just opened in February and have noticed alot of repeat business.

I noticed the decor was of the Firefighter theme. It was well decorated and very clean. I think the health department gave them a 99, my wife noticed that. We really enjoyed our evening and stayed a good hour just watching the game and talking with different people. Since our first visit we go there atleast once a week and we have recomended it to our friends and they have all have the same experience.

We didn’t get in last week but a couple that we hang out with with in and said they are planning an outdoor tent for food and entertainment in late April You all might want to check this place out.It really is good!!
